Overview/Summary:

At Niterra, our marketing mission is to deliver the right product, to the right people, using the right message. We’re looking for a customer-centric, entry-level marketing professional to join our growing, startup team. The ideal candidate will have interest, knowledge, and some experience in both outbound and inbound marketing activities, project management, and the ability to work globally with a mindset for continued learning and growth.

This is a great opportunity to gain exposure, growth, and expertise in many areas of marketing including product marketing, events and tradeshows, social media, print advertising, PR, new product development, and many other marketing related areas. This role will also work within our 3 product verticals of energy and environment, medical, and the mobility industries. We will rely on this person’s ability to collaborate with a global team of thinkers and doers and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while helping to grow our products from ideation to launch to growth to sunset. The marketing professional will be expected to prepare and present ideas and deliverables on a regular basis, research marketing trends, and prospect data so that Niterra remains at the cutting edge.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Follow the direction of Global Lead of Product Marketing to deliver effective programs that achieve company and product objectives.
  • Maintain and build our HubSpot CRM ecosystem across the many different products we track globally in the system. Ensure all products are setup properly including domains, automations, and reporting. Assist in creating SOPs and training materials to onboard new teams and users.
  • Assist with go-to-market planning, launch, and post-launch initiatives across the entire customer journey including product awareness, lead generation, lead nurturing, MQL, to SQL including day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and support.
  • Support the development of sales and marketing materials, adapting scopes, timelines, and deliverables for maximum benefit. Support the development of campaign assets (emails, website, infographics, checklists, interactive content, videos, webinars, etc.)
  • Assist with the global marketing operations and process development. Create training and procedural presentations, collect feedback, and give recommendations on how to improve our global marketing operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, execute, and measure all go-to-market and marketing activities for new products and current ones.
  • Coordinate product marketing efforts globally partnering with our teams in Japan and Germany.
  • Help gather and analyze data to reach insights about brands, competitors, and trends. This will involve working with the product management teams to assess the competitive environment, creating optimal messaging for positioning within it, and then translating that messaging into supporting assets.
  • Contribute to lead-generation and customer-acquisition activities, such as sales enablement, media promotion, networking, trade shows, and events.
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insights, and assess against goals
  • Assist wherever needed for marketing related activities such as tradeshows, events, advertising, social media, PR, media buying, and vendor management.
  • Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, HubSpot, Canva, Asana, WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Ads
  • Daily interaction with Japanese Sales and Marketing members. Japanese bilingual language is preferred.

Other Duties:

  • Flexibility to travel – Opportunity to work abroad occasionally in Japan, Germany, and other countries depending on product launches and needs. Prior work, training, or travel in Japan or EMEA is preferred, with experience in global travel.
  • The position will be required to travel globally up to twice a year.

Pay Scale:

  • In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $54,000 – $64,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

Qualifications:

Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
  • Hands-on experience developing marketing materials, campaigns, and promotions.
  • Japanese language fluency or familiarity
  • One or more years of experience in marketing, sales, advertising, project coordination, or relevant coursework
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment, working both individually and as a team member
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to details and deadlines

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Shepherd medical device and software concepts through the product development life cycle, ensuring products function to specifications, look great, and meet customer needs.
  • Manage all technical aspects of product design and development and define the target market that the product serves.
  • Form customer and business hypothesis and validate these with proof of concepts, prototypes and early user testing.
  • Interview customers, collaborate with stakeholders and closely coordinate with engineering and design to identify key product opportunities.
  • Take products from concept to creation, fill products with life and fulfill users’ needs.
  • Create a product vision, roadmaps, scope features and write user stories that define a plan and goals for your product.
  • Measure and track product progress with qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Contribute to ongoing product development process improvements, including establishing best practices and setting standards for the approach and rigor we apply to our research methods.
  • Perform job related travel. Research projects may be in-person or virtual.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and, if applicable, all company policies relating to IATF16949 and ISO14000

Pay Scale:

  • In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $94,200 to $130,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

Qualifications

Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science / engineering or technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience leading projects in a medical device, biomedical or other regulated industry.
  • Experience in managing development teams and/or programs (in the medical device industry in both device and software areas.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific business fundamentals, particularly relating to organizational KPIs and business processes.
  • Familiarity with product road mapping, design thinking methods, user centric-approaches and lean development
  • Data driven mind set and ability to lead discussions based on data.
  • Collaborative and empathetic to the perspective of others and willing to put yourself in their shoes to understand their pains and frustrations
  • Experience with common tools for creating and controlling product development like MS Project or Confluence.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including conducting oral presentations.
  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task with individual initiative (self-starter) 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing at least the minimum essential functions of the job

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Managing the processes and projects in alignment with the Venture Leads in refining and executing the venture-building process, including ideation, market research, prototyping, and commercialization
  • Identifying and evaluating potential opportunities based on market trends, business models, and financial projections
  • Working closely with the Lead Venture Architect to develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including startups, venture capitalists, and industry experts
  • Managing the User Exploration, Ideation and Validation stage, conducting interviews, facilitating ideation, prototyping and validating promising ideas
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the success of the venture, including marketing, product development, legal, and finance

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in venture building, or working in the startup environment, either as founder or as employee of an early stage tech startup
  • Knowledge of the startup ecosystem, market trends, business models, and investment strategies
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and data in a clear and concise manner
